Anti-breakage
solutions
Hot-casting polyurethanes have excellent mechanical resistance properties (resistance to tearing, traction, and compression), superior to commonly used plastics (PVC, Teflon, polyethylene) and synthetic and natural rubbers.
Moreover, given the wide range of hardness and different chemical-physical types, it is possible to optimize some mechanical properties, (for example, elongation at break greater than 700%), while keeping all other properties at excellent levels.
The artifacts can therefore be subjected to considerable physical stresses without the permanent alteration of the structure, frequent in elastomers.
