Hydrocyclone for desulfurization plant
Hydrocyclones in desulfurization systems of the thermoelectric plants serve to separate calcium sulphate (gypsum) from the water. The hydrocyclones are subjected to a strong abrasive action exerted by the plaster particles suspended in the water and to the chemical aggression due to the presence of sulfuric acid (solution at pH 2 and 60°C).
Politec has made vortexes in two parts, made with two different compounds characterized by different geometry and hardness, and specifically anchored in order to withstand very strong vibrations. The hydrocyclones made by Politec have last twice as long compared to original spare parts.
